If you can’t accept the presence of our four lovely Bali dogs, whose home Ambra is, then read no further and don’t even dream of booking Villa Ambra!
Rates are quoted in US$ and are subject to an additional 10.5% government tax and 5% service charge. Rates are subject to change without notice, but changes will not be applied to bookings already made.
Arrival and Departure
Every effort will be made to ensure availability by 2 pm on the day of arrival. Our check-out time is noon unless a variation has been agreed, which may incur a further charge.
Having five bedrooms, each double-bedded, Villa Ambra’s maximum capacity is 10 persons, with up to one infant in addition in a cot or sharing the parents’ bed. Villa Ambra cannot change the beds or supply extra beds, except insofar as a cot for an infant can be placed in one of the bedrooms.
There is no pre-determined limit on the number of children within the party, and consider rental requests on an individual basis. Local Balinese nannies are excellent and can be sourced at cost.
There is no lifeguard, nor are they fenced, and use of the pools, and indeed all villa facilities, is entirely at guests’ own risk and responsibility. Please bear in mind that staying at Villa Ambra is akin to being in your own home, not in an hotel.
Terms of Payment
A deposit of 50% of the rental due must be received by Villa Ambra within seven working days after confirmation of the reservation, except that, if there are less than 31 days before the rental start date, full payment is required. For last minute bookings within seven working days of the rental start date, full payment on arrival is acceptable. Payments are to be made by PayPal or bank transfer, with the remitter agreeing to pay both party’s bank charges, to a bank, details of which will be provided with the booking confirmation. Please send a copy of the bank transfer to email@example.com. If the deposit is not received within the stipulated period, the reservation will be released. The balance must reach the bank account at least 30 days prior to the rental start date, failing which the reservation may be released and the deposit forfeited. Guests will be required on arrival to sign a waiver of liability and credit card authorisation form to allow us to collect payment for any charges (including damages and breakages) incurred and unpaid when the guest departs.
In the event of cancellation 31 days or more prior to the rental start date, a refund of the deposit will be granted net of any agent’s commission and a cancellation charge of 20% of the total rental value. In the event of a cancellation 30 days or less prior to the rental start date, no refund will be granted. Guests are reminded to check that they have adequate cancellation insurance.
Changes to Bookings
Subject to availability, we will be happy to make changes without charge, if the total rental value is not reduced.
Events and Parties
Special permission is required for functions where the number of guests exceeds 15. A function fee may be applicable in addition to a local community (“Banjar”) fee and security deposit. We can recommend an excellent European party planner. Since our roofs are thatched, no fireworks are permitted.
Curfew and Loud Music
Guests are expected to respect the peace of their neighbours at all times. No outdoor, or loud indoor, music is permitted after midnight. This stricture has been agreed with the local Balinese communities and is not open to negotiation.
Damages and Losses
Guests should be aware that Villa Ambra is furnished and equipped to a high standard and seemingly minor damages may prove surprisingly expensive. The renter is responsible for, and undertakes to reimburse, any and all damages or losses incurred during his occupation of the villa. The Villa Manager reserves the right to eject the occupants in the event of excessive damage or unruly behaviour.
Numbers in Party and Suitability
The number of persons occupying the villa must not exceed the maximum number stated in the booking confirmation and the villa owner reserves the right to refuse any booking which he considers unsuitable.
The villa owner will not accept any responsibility for any injury, sickness, loss, damage, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by or arising from the use of the villa, plumbing, gas, electrical or otherwise, or weather conditions or other natural events. The villa owner will not accept any responsibility for any missed travel connections, however caused, nor is any responsibility accepted for any loss of or damage to the personal property of the renter or any member of the party, however caused.
